Annual Art Show & Sale

The Society has held an Art Show & Sale in August since 1975. Traditionally held on the grounds of the Quogue Library, in 2012 the Show was moved to the Village Green.

The Art Show & Sale is an integral part of the Quogue community’s summer schedule, showcasing the work of 25 local artists. Prospective purchasers come from all over Long Island.

The 2013 Art Show & Sale was held on Saturday, August 10, 10am to 4pm, on the Village Green. On Friday, the Society hosted Celebrate Art!, a cocktail benefit with speaker Frances F.L. Beatty, Ph.D. The events were were a grand success with all proceeds going directly to funding the Society’s education, collections care, and historic preservation programs.

Exhibiting at the Art Show is by invitation. Artists interested in participating in August 2014 should contact the Art Show Committee at 631-996-2404 or info@quoguehistory.org.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bi-Annual Holiday House Tour

One of five Quogue houses all decked out for the 2011 Holiday House Tour.

The Holiday House Tour, which began in 2010 to support maintenance of the Pond House, the Society’s new headquarters on Jessup Avenue, includes five Quogue houses festively decorated for the holidays. The tour is followed in the evening by a cocktail reception at a sixth house.

The 2013 Holiday House Tour will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2 to 6pm. The Cocktail Party is 6 to 8pm.
