The golden age of postcards in America spanned 1905 to 1915, coinciding with Quogue’s peak years as a bustling summer resort.

Along with founding families and historic houses, the streets of Quogue hold a special place in the character of the Village, laid out as they are in a shape reminiscent of a seashell.

As an accomplished amateur photographer, he almost always traveled with cameras, ones he had crafted himself.
